Through the lens of planning for the School of Foreign Service (SFS) Centennial Celebration, Phoebe Koenigsberg will share her best practices and how SFS is experimenting with new events, revamping existing events, and integrating events with social media to better engage with Georgetown audiences and share the SFS story.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZERS
GEMS
Georgetown Event Management Services (GEMS) fosters an inclusive culture in which the entire Georgetown community can participate in co-curricular learning experiences. GEMS manages the largest number of event spaces and facilities at the institution offering an array of resources and best practices for university planners.
EPIC
The Event Planners' Inside Channel is a GEMS initiative that serves as a meetup group for University event planners. It is designed to streamline the institution’s diverse and unique support services to meet the demanding needs of event planners while improving the quality of programs from start to finish. It facilitates casual conversations around event planning hot topics, professional development, training, resources and services to support campus programs.

Parking & getting around campus
Campus parking & fees
The campus is located at 3700 O St NW, Washington, DC. For more specific directions, please visit our Office of Transportation Management web site. Parking for all university visitors is available in the Southwest Garage, accessible via Canal Road NW. This garage is cash only. Visitors should use 3611 Canal Road NW as the address when mapping directions using GPS. The daily parking rate is $22.00, hourly rate is $5.00. Visitors with valid handicap permits may park in designated parking spaces in the Southwest Garage after paying the posted parking rate.
